Welcome to Bergen and Fana Stadium
We look forward to welcoming Europe’s best athletes to the U23 European Athletics Championships – ‘Heroes of Tomorrow’. We want to create a championship for athletes, supporters, spectators and volunteers with great sporting achievements, sporting joy and community. Fana Stadium will be rigged for an athletics party, and is the perfect arena for the championship. A number of European and world records have been set here. We have created a separate overview with all records HERE.
Participating in the U23 European Championships is a dream for the athletes. After years of training and preparation, it’s finally time to test their skills against some of the best athletes in Europe. Enjoy the moment, from entering the arena, feeling the excitement in the air, taking part in the opening and closing ceremonies, to taking a medal or setting personal bests. We hope these moments will become a memory for life, and something to look back on with pride and joy.
The people of Bergen are known for their enthusiasm for sport, and the cheers and applause from the audience will be felt.
For the audience, the trip to Fana Stadium will be eventful. The atmosphere, performances, children’s activity park and marketplace will set the scene for eventful days for the whole family.
600 volunteers are ready to make the U23 European Championships a great experience for athletes, supporters and spectators.
